Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pep El Marino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and CharD Piere (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). CharD Piere told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Alexandre Firmino and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
El Marino shoots in looking for a takedown but Piere manages to keep the fight standing, pushing El Marino's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Piere throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around El Marino's waist but El Marino gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Piere off to one side.
Piere moves in looking to clinch but El Marino pushes him off.
El Marino fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Piere wants to clinch up but El Marino keeps it at a distance.
El Marino shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Piere is trying to defend but El Marino finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
El Marino had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Piere defends it easily.
