Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jake Ferguson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Virgil Sludge!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Lou da Vinci and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sludge tries for a takedown but Ferguson circles away easily
and Ferguson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Sludge tries to break the clinch but Ferguson is controlling the position.
Stalling in the clinch from Ferguson.
Sludge is trying to force a seperation but Ferguson has the dominant position.
Ferguson scores with a shoulder strike.
Ferguson breaks the clinch.
Sludge throws a right and a left that Ferguson avoids nicely.
Sludge rushes Ferguson and presses him up against the cage.
Sludge stalling in the clinch but Ferguson improves position.
Sludge letting Ferguson take a breather here.
Ferguson misses with a hook to the ribs.
Sludge is trying to drag Ferguson to the mat but Ferguson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Ferguson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ferguson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Sludge tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ferguson swivels and escapes.
Jake Ferguson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Virgil Sludge.
Ferguson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Ferguson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A combination from Ferguson does no damage.
Sludge shoots in looking for a takedown but Ferguson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sludge's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Ferguson darts in and clinches Sludge up against the cage.
Ferguson turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Ferguson is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Sludge's shoulder. That is not cool.
Sludge gets back to half guard.
Ferguson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Sludge is looking to control Ferguson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sludge avoid being mounted?
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sludge is trying to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sludge tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Ferguson manages to move to mount!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sludge wants to control but Ferguson is having none of it.
Ferguson content just to control the position here.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sludge is in all sorts of trouble here.
Ferguson cracks Sludge with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Sludge working to try and regain half guard.
Ferguson looking to control but Sludge is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Ferguson breaks from Sludge's wrist control and lands an elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sludge tries to buck Ferguson off but he can't manage it.
Ferguson putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Sludge is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Sludge is working to get back to half guard.
Ferguson avoids the attempt from Sludge to control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ferguson postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Sludge looks a forlorn figure.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Ferguson dominated that round.

Sludge has his takedown stuffed
and Ferguson counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Ferguson scores with a three punch combo!
Sludge is rocked!
Ferguson drives through with a takedown into Sludge's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Sludge is still in real trouble! Can Ferguson finish him?
Ferguson gets to his feet and stands over Sludge, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Sludge felt that one! Ferguson unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Sludge from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jake Ferguson!
Jake Ferguson opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
