Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Parsons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Verkowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Parsons comes to the cage accompanied by Call Me The Breeze. Verkowski has chosen Bulls on Parade - Rage Against The Machine as his entrance music. Ivan Verkowski has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Charlie Parsons! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ivan Verkowski! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Verkowski walks into a stiff left hand from Parsons. Parsons looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Parsons throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Decent striking displayed by Parsons there. A slapping body kick lands there for Parsons. Parsons scores with a crisp jab that stopped Verkowski in his tracks. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Verkowski tries to clinch up. Verkowski is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Parsons circles away from the clinch attempt.
Parsons plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! An inside leg kick lands from Parsons. Parsons tries to bum rush Verkowski with a series of wild strikes but Verkowski uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Left hook, right uppercut from Parsons. A jab lands there for Parsons. Verkowski tries to clinch there but Parsons circles away.
Parsons closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Parsons wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Verkowski, who protects the arm well. Parsons lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Verkowski down.
Parsons advances to full mount. Parsons is in the full mount, landing strikes. Verkowski's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Verkowski is in a horrible position here. Parsons smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Verkowski is rocked! Verkowski defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Parsons. Verkowski is still in real trouble! Can Parsons finish him? The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Verkowski is trying to escape the mount but Parsons keeps good control and instead manages to take Verkowski's back.
Parsons scores with punches and elbows. Parsons lands a good shot there. Verkowski covers up! Parsons smells blood and goes for the finish - the referee warns Verkowski to improve his position but he's not intelligently defending himself and the referee has no choice but to step in and end the fight! Parsons jumps to his feet and celebrates the important win with his cornermen!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Charlie Parsons!
