Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ana Conda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eiji Kawashima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Conda comes to the cage accompanied by Los Bastardos Finlandeses - Acapulco. Eiji Kawashima acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Ana Conda! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eiji Kawashima! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice uppercut lands for Conda. That snapped Kawashima's head back.
It looks like Eiji Kawashima has been cut. Conda misses the jab. Conda fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Kawashima takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Conda slips a straight right by Kawashima. Conda jabs at Kawashima's body. Conda looks for a takedown but Kawashima sprawls well. Kawashima scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Conda doesn't seem bothered though. A combination from Kawashima does no damage. Kawashima on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Conda. Conda obviously looking to wear him down.
Conda throws a poor cross that misses
and Kawashima counters with a leg kick. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kawashima motions for Conda to come forward. Kawashima throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Kawashima throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Conda thows a left - swing and a miss! Kawashima avoids the body shot from Conda.
That's one minute gone in the round. Conda motions for Kawashima to come forward. Conda throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Conda chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Conda fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kawashima manages to avoid it. Conda misses with a lunging right hand
and Kawashima counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Kawashima is looking to land body kicks. Kawashima throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Conda throws a nice inside leg kick. Conda dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kawashima. That did some damage! A jab from Kawashima misses. Kawashima throws a predictable looking body shot
and Conda counters with a nice body kick.
Conda changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kawashima looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Conda working away. Conda working the strikes but Kawashima uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Conda thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Kawashima is refusing to be controlled, as Conda sits in half guard. Conda lands with a punch from half guard. Conda looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kawashima with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Conda is just content to waste time from the top position. Kawashima takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Kawashima avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Kawashima trying to keep a closed guard but Conda is proving a slippery customer.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Conda trying to control but Kawashima is working from the bottom. Conda tries to free his leg and advance position but Kawashima is retaining full guard. Conda preventing the sweep. Kawashima can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Conda controls the pace.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Kawashima throws a right and a left that both miss. Conda's jab looks to have found its range, popping Kawashima under the eye. Conda misses with a body shot.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Conda looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Conda needs to keep his hands up - Kawashima had a free shot at his head there. Conda looks for a takedown but Kawashima sprawls well. Conda uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kawashima. Conda walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Kawashima checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Kawashima throws a jab but it's blocked by Conda. Kawashima takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Conda shoots in for a double leg but Kawashima sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ana Conda. That's going to take a lot out of him. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Conda. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Conda thows a leg kick but Kawashima checks it and Kawashima counters with a leg kick. Conda keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Kawashima misses with an uppercut. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ana Conda dominated that round. The cut man is working on Eiji Kawashima's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Conda shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kawashima sprawls well. Kawashima wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Conda gets slowly back to his feet. Conda has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Kawashima finds it's way round the side to connect with Conda's head. A left lands for Kawashima. Conda fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kawashima looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Conda misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kawashima.
Kawashima fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Conda. Conda misses with a body kick. Conda misses with a hook
and Kawashima counters with a right hand to the body. Conda throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Conda misses with a wild body shot. Conda is looking to wear down Kawashima with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Kawashima misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Conda.
This has been an exciting period of action! Kawashima misses with a hook.
That's one minute gone in the round. Conda shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Conda keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Kawashima desperately trying to maintain half guard. Kawashima is defending against the submission attempts here by Conda.
Conda frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Conda can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kawashima is looking to escape. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Conda cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Conda misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Kawashima tries to lock up and control but Conda gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kawashima tries to reverse the position but Conda maintains control. Conda wants to control but Kawashima has made it back to half guard. Nice work. Ana Conda overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kawashima manages to get to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kawashima is trying to control the position but Conda postures up. Kawashima wants to stand up but Conda is controlling him. Kawashima manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Conda regains half guard. Conda is refusing to be controlled, as Kawashima sits in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Conda looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Kawashima controlling the action here. Conda tries to roll over but Kawashima keeps him under control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Conda is looking to control Kawashima's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Conda avoid being mounted? And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Ana Conda will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Eiji Kawashima's cut. That's time! Conda's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Kawashima lands with a hook. Conda tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Kawashima throws a head kick but Conda moves out of range.

Conda looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. A kick lands to the mid section there for Conda. A telegraphed right hand from Conda misses the target. Kawashima takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Ana Conda is winning the standup battle so far. Conda with a nice cross. Conda misses with a kick to the body.
A head kick misses from Kawashima. Kawashima lands a nice hook to Conda's body. Conda takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Conda is looking to chop away at Kawashima's legs. Conda shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Kawashima lands a right hook to the body.
Conda with a jab. Conda looks for the body kick but Kawashima saw that one coming. Kawashima keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Conda checks a leg kick. Kawashima uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Conda. Kawashima throws a jab but it's blocked by Conda. Conda throws the left hand but Kawashima avoids the punch easily. Conda just misses with a punch to the body.
Eiji Kawashima is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Conda looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A nice inside leg kick there by Kawashima. That's going to slow Conda down. Kawashima tests Conda's chin there with a solid looking shot. Conda misses with a body shot.
Conda takes a jab right on the kisser.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kawashima moves out of range as Conda throws a body kick.
Good leg kick by Conda there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Conda misses with a body shot.
Conda tries to land a front kick but Kawashima steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Conda throws a body kick that misses. Conda misses with a low kick. Kawashima feints a jab promting Conda to slip. Kawashima then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Conda slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Conda is rocked! Conda throws a body kick that misses and Kawashima rattles Conda with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Conda tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Kawashima dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Conda stiff and motionless on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Eiji Kawashima! Eiji Kawashima retains his welterweight title! A relieved looking Eiji Kawashima thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
