The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fredderson shoots for a double leg takedown but Donaire sprawls well. He's pushed Fredderson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Horrible takedown by Fredderson or perhaps it was just good defense by Donaire which made him look bad.

Donaire shoots in looking for a takedown. Fredderson tries to sprawl out of it but Donaire keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fredderson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Donaire lands with a kick to the temple. Fredderson shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Fredderson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Donaire tries to avoid it but Fredderson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Donaire to the ground. Donaire escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Donaire changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fredderson tries to avoid it but Donaire manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fredderson to the ground. Fredderson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
