Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jyrki Jyytti!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pyry Perkele!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Tarja Halkonen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perkele fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Perkele walks into a straight right hand from Jyytti.
Jyytti uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Perkele.
Jyytti throws a left and a right that both miss
and Perkele makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Jyytti displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Perkele throws out the jab.
Jyytti connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Perkele misses with a hook. Jyytti ducked under it nicely.
Jyytti moves into range and clinches up with Perkele.
Jyytti lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Jyytti pushes Perkele back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Perkele tries to land knees in the clinch but Jyytti avoids the damage to the body.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Jyytti.
Perkele tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Perkele just misses with a elbow thrown towards Jyytti's brow.
Jyytti will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Perkele up against the cage.
Perkele throws an elbow but it misses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Perkele stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Perkele blocks an uppercut.
Perkele throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Jyytti throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Jyytti has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Perkele clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Jyytti will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
I really don't envy Perkele right now.
Jyytti is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Perkele taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Jyytti.
