The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sullivan listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Sullivan lands a really nice looking cross but Laplaglia seems unphased.
Laplaglia tries to close the distance and clinch but Sullivan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Laplaglia tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sullivan paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Laplaglia wants to clinch up but Sullivan keeps it at a distance.

Laplaglia lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Sullivan backs up against the cage.

Laplaglia throws a punch but it's blocked by Sullivan.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Laplaglia swings wildly with an uppercut but Sullivan uses good head movement to avoid it.

Laplaglia manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
A nice right hand lands inside from Sullivan.
Sullivan wants to break the clinch but can't.
Laplaglia takes a shot to the head.
Sullivan lands a right hand that snaps the head of Laplaglia backwards.

Laplaglia is rocked!
Sullivan cracks Laplaglia with a nice body shot.
Oh Laplaglia is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sullivan lands with a light punch inside.

Sullivan can't break the clinch.
Laplaglia has Sullivan pressed against the cage, preventing Sullivan from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Sullivan looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Sullivan creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Laplaglia's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Laplaglia drops to his knees and Sullivan pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
