Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Todd Haskins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takashi Kadota (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Haskins kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Kid Rock - Bawitdaba. Todd Haskins has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takashi Kadota!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Ackerman and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kadota closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Haskins is trying is best to control the position here.
Kadota uses his free foot to push down on Haskins's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Haskins.

Haskins's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kadota connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Haskins scrambles back to his feet.

Haskins shoots in looking for a takedown but Kadota manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Haskins's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Kadota looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kadota lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Kadota turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Haskins sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

The fighters circle momentarily. Kadota darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Kadota throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Haskins stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Kadota follows into mount!
Kadota can't control as he wanted to and Haskins manages to get the fight back to his half guard.
Kadota is keen to just control but Haskins is a slippery customer.

Haskins is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kadota pulls his head out easily.
Kadota looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Haskins with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Haskins is covering up but some of the strikes from Kadota are getting through and doing damage.
Kadota gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.
Takashi Kadota is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Well, with Kadota on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Haskins is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Takashi Kadota comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kadota has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
