Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hoho Hoho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hoho Hoho has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, John Doe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hoho Hoho! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Colin Fray and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab lands there for Doe. Doe takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Doe throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hoho stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Doe swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hoho takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Jab by Doe. Doe throws the left hand but Hoho avoids the punch easily. Hoho fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Doe to the ground. Hoho is now in Doe's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Doe wants to stand and escape but Hoho is having none of it. Doe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hoho on the ground. Hoho trying to control the position from guard on top but Doe is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hoho controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Doe on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Doe tries to get out of the position. Doe is looking to stand up but Hoho isn't so interested in that idea.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doe avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Hoho loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Hoho works a leg free and moves into half guard. Hoho sitting and controlling from the half guard. Hoho is looking for a kimura but Doe is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hoho to get the leverage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hoho is taking a breather. Doe says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Doe wants to stand back up but Hoho manages to pass into side control.
Doe is breathing heavily. Hoho wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Doe, who protects the arm well. An elbow from Hoho crashes against the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoho content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. It looks like Hoho might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Hoho is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Doe knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Doe is trying to escape and get back to his feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hoho tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hoho has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hoho Hoho dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Hoho looks for a takedown but Doe sprawls well. Doe throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Doe listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Hoho has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Hoho fails to land the takedown. A combination from Doe does no damage. Doe throws a lazy right hand but Hoho sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Hoho fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. John Doe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hoho Hoho. Hoho shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Doe defends it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doe feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Hohos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Doe thows a left - swing and a miss! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Doe connects with a nice looking jab.
Hoho looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Doe looks to land a combination. Hoho sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Nice sprawl there from Doe as Hoho shoots in. Hoho tries for a takedown but Doe sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Doe stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Doe wants it to stay on the feet. Doe throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hoho is trying hard to land a takedown here. Doe sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Hoho takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Hoho shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Doe as he jumps to the side. Hoho closes this distance looking for a takedown but Doe circles away. Doe lands with an uppercut that bounces Hoho off the cage and back into range. Doe lunges at Hoho with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Hoho's hand. Doe jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hoho. Doe wants to clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doe pivots, looking for a leg kick but Hoho is out of range and Doe settles back down. Doe throws a hook but Hoho avoids it easily. Doe could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Horrible takedown by Hoho or perhaps it was just good defense by Doe which made him look bad. Hoho looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Doe is fending him off so far but Hoho persists. Nope, Doe circles away and we're back to standing. Hoho is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Hoho closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hoho lands in his opponent's guard. Doe keeping full guard, as Hoho tries to pass. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hoho stays in close to Doe's body and controls the position. Hoho works a leg free and moves into half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Doe is looking to get back to is feet but Hoho passes into side control.
Hoho is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Doe is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Doe dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Doe keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Doe lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Doe. Hoho shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Hoho prevents Doe from standing back up.
Hoho slows the pace down in half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Hoho has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Hoho scores with a couple of good head shots there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hoho tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Hoho with good strikes from the mount here! Hoho controlling the position easily from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoho's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Hoho Hoho has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Hoho gets the takedown into side control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hoho thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
And that's the end of the fight! Hoho Hoho comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Hoho has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
