Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jan David (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think David might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Pity the Man With the Fast Right Hand. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
28 - 16 - 0, fighting out of London, Jan David! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Daniels! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! David takes one to the chin there.
It looks like Jan David has been cut. Daniels turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Daniels is defended easily by David. Daniels gets a takedown into half guard. Daniels thows a huge punch but David dodges it nicely.
David is staying active underneath Daniels, who seems content to just control the action from this position. David looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Daniels is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
David wants to get back to full guard. Daniels stalling. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Daniels throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's one minute gone in the round. David is looking for a sweep. Daniels is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Daniels tries to pass the half guard into mount. David knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. David trying to control from the bottom.
David makes his way to full guard. A much better position for David. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Daniels loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Daniels connects with a couple of short punches. David is trying to control the position from the bottom.
David has his foot on Daniels's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Daniels works his way back into a safe position though. Daniels throwing strikes but missing. David working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Daniels doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but David is tightening it up a little... Daniels has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Daniels reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Daniels taps out! Nice BJJ there by David!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Jan David! After winning the bout, Jan David thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
