Takaki has chosen Mahavishnu Orchestra - Meeting Of The Spirits as his entrance music. Rick Lance could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Takehiko Takaki's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lance misses with the combination.
Lance misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lance takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Takaki looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Takaki connects with a solid leg kick.
Rick Lance seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lance fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Takaki is out of range.

Lance tightens his grip and picks Takaki up, before dumping him to the ground. Takaki manages to land in guard.
Takaki is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Lance is really struggling to control Takaki but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Lance has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Lance tries to free his leg and advance position but Takaki is retaining full guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
A head kick from Takaki lands but Lance takes it in his stride.

Lance displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Takaki throws out the jab.
Takaki cracks a nice hook into Lance's ribs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Takehiko Takaki will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lance goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Takaki is pressed up against the cage. Lance has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Takaki down to the mat. Takaki avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Lance shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Lance is rocked!
Lance gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!
