With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rorion Joaquin!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Bruno Lombardi and Reed Andrews.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Joaquin fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bojan sprawls well initially but Joaquin persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Bojan is refusing to be controlled, as Joaquin sits in half guard.
Joaquin is thwarting Bojan's attempts to control the position.
Bojan is not content to let Joaquin control the position.
Joaquin tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Rorion Joaquin was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Joaquin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bojan tries to get back to half guard but can't.
You can see the frustration on Bojan's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Joaquin decides to stand back up. Joaquin steps back and let's Bojan get back to his feet.

Bojan drives through and clinches with Joaquin against the cage.

Bojan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Joaquin is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Bojan looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Joaquin has picked Bojan up and slammed him! Bojan can't keep hold of the triangle and Joaquin manages to pass to side control!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rorion Joaquin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
