Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Methuselah Couture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tristan Alighieri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Couture kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is wait, nvmnd! thats just the tapping of his cane as he walks.. Alighieri has chosen Mosquito Song by Queens Of The Stone Age as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alighieri throws a body punch but Couture moves out of range.
Couture slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Couture fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Alighieri uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Couture has time to react.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Tristan Alighieri hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Couture throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Alighieri tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Couture is in Alighieri's guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Couture thows a body shot but no joy.
Jab, jab by Couture - just one landing.
Alighieri fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Couture manages to avoid it.
Couture dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Couture punishes Alighieri's body with a nice straight punch.
Couture bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Alighieri's head backwards.
Couture finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Couture fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Alighieri sprawls well initially but Couture persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Couture wants to take a breather but Alighieri is having none of it.
