Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Armor King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugh Recksun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King comes into the arena with Armor King blaring out of the sound system. Recksun has chosen Eye of the Tiger as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Armor King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hugh Recksun!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Recksun closes the distance and pushes King back into the cage.
Recksun is looking to break free of the clinch but King has double underhooks.

King is trying to push Recksun away but Recksun has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Recksun looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
King tries to circle away but Recksun has him pinned against the cage.
Recksun has had enough of the clinch but King keeps him there for the moment.

King avoids the head kick by Recksun.
King takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Recksun lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but King circles away quickly and effectively.

King jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Recksun walks away with a smile on his face. King gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

King misses with a punch to the body.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
King goes for a takedown attempt but Recksun pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

King changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Recksun tries to avoid it but King manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Recksun to the ground. Recksun escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hugh Recksun seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Recksun rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but King moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Recksun throws a nice looking combination but King bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Recksun's corner calls for a 1-2. Recksun obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
King tries to clinch but Recksun is having none of it.
King looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Recksun is fending him off so far but King persists. Nope, Recksun circles away and we're back to standing.

Recksun breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Recksun fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
King is breathing heavily.
King looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Recksun fails with an attempt to clinch.
King closes the distance and clinches up with Recksun, looking for a takedown. King pushes Recksun against the cage but Recksun circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

King walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Recksun checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Recksun stuffs the takedown.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for King. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
King moves out of range as Recksun strikes.

King gets a double leg takedown into Recksun's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Recksun is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst King is controlling him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Recksun enables King to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Recksun manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
