Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vaz Sturlett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adam Machida will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Machida drops back looking for a leg! Sturlett is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sturlett manages to kick Machida off! Machida jumps back into Sturlett's guard.
Machida passes Sturlett's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Well, if Machida is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Machida working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Machida is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Machida is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Machida is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Sturlett sees it coming and defends easily.

Machida is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

and Machida counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sturlett won't be happy with that.

Machida is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sturlett knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Sturlett takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Machida connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Sturlett some visible discomfort.
Oh Sturlett is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
