Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Jon Hess (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Red Headed Step Child (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hess comes to the ring accompanied by Curl Of The Burl. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jon Hess! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Red Headed Step Child! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hess with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Hess pushes Step Child away with a front kick. Step Child misses with a low kick. Hess throws a nice inside leg kick. Hess closes the distance and clinches. Hess tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Hess stalls. Step Child tries to throw a body punch but Hess avoids it by throwing Step Child back against the ropes. Hess lands a right hand that snaps the head of Step Child backwards. Step Child misses with a shot to the kidneys.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hess tries to work over Step Child's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Hess lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Hess can't find room to land a body shot as Step Child controls the action.
Hess lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Step Child or not. Step Child looks winded! Step Child throws a punch but it's blocked by Hess. Hess struggles to land a body shot inside as Step Child controls his hands.
That's one minute gone in the round. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Hess lands a left hand.
Hess is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Step Child is defending well for now. Hess lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Step Child backwards. Hess lands a hook to the side of the head. Hess scores with a nice hook to the head. Hess scores with an uppercut up the middle. Hess tries a body shot but Step Child blocks it.
Hess tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Step Child's elbow. Step Child tries to work over Hess's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Step Child doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Hess blocks a body shot from Step Child. Hess is struggling to control the position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hess softening up his opponent with strikes, against the ropes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hess prevents a body shot from Step Child. Hess goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Hess lands a body punch in the clinch. Step Child goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Step Child throws a head punch that misses. Step Child blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Hess manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
A right hook to the body lands for Hess.
Hess breaks from the clinch.
A solid leg kick lands there for Hess.
A nice leg kick lands there from Hess.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hess moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Step Child looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Hess looks low and kicks high, catching Step Child right on the side of the head, sending him crashing to the canvas! Will he be able to beat the count? 3,4,5 - he's already back to his feet and ready to go! Let's see if he's still with it!
It looks like Red Headed Step Child has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hess throws a nice outside leg kick. Hess misses with a head kick.
Hess has Step Child up against the ropes in a clinch.
Hess lands a shot to the body. Hess lands a nice shot to the body. A short right hand to the side of the head by Hess. Hess goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Hess lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the ropes. A hook to the body from Hess.
Hess lands a nice shot to the body. A body shot lands from Hess.
Hess pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Jon Hess seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hess connects with a solid leg kick. Hess fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Step Child looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Hess clips Step Child with a right and a left that makes him do the chicken dance for a couple of seconds. He touched his left hand down on the canvas so the referee steps between the fighters to give Step Child a standing 8 count before we can continue the bout. Step Child drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Step Child is rocked! Hess rushes Step Child and presses him up against the ropes. Step Child is still on wobbly legs! Can Hess finish him? Hess working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. A short body shot lands from Hess as the two fighters clinch.
Step Child seems to have recovered his senses. Hess pushes Step Child back against the ropes and unloads with a body punch. Hess lands a right hand. Hess lands a hook to the side of the head. Hess has Step Child pressed up against the ropes. He pushes off and cracks Step Child right on the button with a huge left hook! Step Child goes down! The referee has started the count but Step Child is out! He's out cold! Hess runs over to his corner to celebrate and looks close to tears after getting the big win. Congratulations to him.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jon Hess! Jon Hess retains his super heavyweight title! As Jon Hess got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: No mortal can stand against the mighty Jon Hess. Actually, fuck records and rank. I want to fight Keoni Kain next. If Connor doesn't give me this fight I'll break into his home while he's sleeping and pour bourbon into his aquarium.'.
