Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Trap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Reggie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). George Reggie has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jon Trap!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, George Reggie!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Jonathan Paton and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reggie shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Reggie in particular looking to stall.
Reggie is trying to control. Trap wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. George Reggie wasn't active enough on the ground.

Trap shoots in and gets a takedown into Reggie's guard.
Trap landing some decent shots from guard.
Trap is stalling in the full guard.
Trap knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Reggie on the ground.

Reggie is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Trap's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Trap's back!

I really don't envy Trap right now.

Reggie has momentary wrist control but Trap slips an elbow through the middle.

That was a close round but I would say that Jon Trap will probably get the nod.

Reggie tries to roll over but Trap keeps him under control.
Trap looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Reggie with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Trap seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Reggie does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Trap got a little sloppy there for a moment and Reggie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Trap has managed to get both his arms back between Reggie's legs - danger averted.

Trap bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Trap is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Reggie knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Reggie gets to mount! Trap was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Trap tries to lock up and control but Reggie gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Reggie takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Reggie's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Trap is trying to defend against the choke here but Reggie has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Reggie Tightens the hold and Trap taps out furiously! Reggie displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
