Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Buster Grimes!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grimes throws a head kick that misses.
Williams swings for the body but Grimes moves out of range.
Williams dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Grimes. That did some damage!
Williams fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Grimes on the side of the head.
Grimes walks into a jab.
Williams throws a hook but Grimes avoids it easily.
Williams walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Grimes checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Williams throws a lazy uppercut
enabling Grimes to counter with a crisp jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Grimes uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Williams.
Williams blocks a head kick by Grimes.
Williams throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Williams thows a left - swing and a miss!
Williams throws a hook but Grimes avoids it easily.
A clash of legs there as Williams blocks the low kick.

Williams lands a nice leg kick that just misses Grimes's sensitive parts.
Williams lands a leg kick that knocks Grimes off balance momentarily.
Williams lands a body shot.
Williams lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Williams pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Williams lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Grimes at a distance.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Williams lands a jab to Grimes's midsection.
Williams lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
A looping hook to the body misses from Williams. Grimes does a little dance to reset his feet.
A good leg kick by Williams.
Williams uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Grimes.

Williams tries to work over Grimes's front leg with a kick but Grimes checks it.
Grimes looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
A jab from Williams finds it's way through Grimes's defenses.


It looks like Buster Grimes has been cut.
Williams throws a half hearted mid kick.
Williams delivers a nice body kick.
Williams walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Grimes checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Grimes throws a jab when Williams was well out of range.
Williams feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Grimes's calf.
Buster Grimes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Williams feints and then cracks Grimes's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Grimes down.
Grimes looks winded!
Grimes takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Grimes bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Williams connects with a leg kick. Grimes looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Williams paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Grimes on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Williams misses with an attempted mid kick.
Grimes thows a body shot but no joy.
Williams throws a hook but Grimes blocks it.
Williams misses with a body shot.
Williams is looking to land body kicks.

Grimes throws a shot from downtown. Williams moves away and avoids it.
Williams stuns Grimes with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Williams lands a big head kick that sends Grimes tumbling to the mat! Williams takes a step backwards and waves Grimes back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Williams dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Grimes. That did some damage!
Grimes gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Williams gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Grimes is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Simon Williams!
Simon Williams retains his heavyweight title!
During a confident post fight interview, Simon Williams thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
