Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Willie Bader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonnie Boardwalk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Willie Bader!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jonnie Boardwalk!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bader lands with a thumping leg kick.
Bader keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Boardwalk.
Bader lands with a good body shot.
Bader misses with a series of wild punches.
Bader misses with a looping right.
Boardwalk's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Bader connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Boardwalk scrambles back to his feet.
Boardwalk misses with a series of wild punches.
Boardwalk moves out of range of the leg kick from Bader.
Bader misses with a hook. Boardwalk ducked under it nicely.
Bader tries to bum rush Boardwalk with a series of wild strikes but Boardwalk uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Bader throws the kick towards the body but Boardwalk avoids it.
Boardwalk throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bader sees it coming and avoids it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bader cracks a nice hook into Boardwalk's ribs.
Bader gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Boardwalk.
Bader lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Bader misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bader connects with a looping right hand.
Boardwalk walks into a stiff left hand from Bader.
Boardwalk throws out a loose jab but Bader uses good head movement to avoid it.
Boardwalk tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Bader tries a head kick but it misses.
Boardwalk throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bader stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Bader fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Boardwalk on the side of the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Boardwalk swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bader scores with a leg kick.
Bader scores with a sloppy right hand. Boardwalk should have avoided that one.
Bader will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Bader misses the jab.
Bader looks to score with a jab to the body but Boardwalk is just out of range.
Boardwalk tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bader sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Boardwalk somewhat.
Bader lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Boardwalk backs up against the cage.


Boardwalk is rocked!
Bader needs to keep his hands up - Boardwalk had a free shot at his head there.

Boardwalk looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Bader!
Boardwalk wants to control but Bader is keeping him busy.

Boardwalk lands an elbow.
Boardwalk postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Bader is trying to control Boardwalk's posture but Boardwalk avoids it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boardwalk is working Bader over with some ground and pound from side control.
Boardwalk creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Boardwalk working the head and body with strikes.
Bader on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Bader prevents Boardwalk from moving into mount.

Bader is trying to control Boardwalk's posture but Boardwalk avoids it.

Bader tries to get back to half guard but can't.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Bader is trying to control Boardwalk's posture but Boardwalk avoids it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Willie Bader will probably get the nod.

Boardwalk closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Bader is not content to let Boardwalk control the position.

Boardwalk trying to control the action but Bader is working from the bottom.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Boardwalk lands a nice short elbow.
Boardwalk lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Boardwalk lands with a punch from half guard.

Boardwalk wants to control but Bader is keeping him busy.

Well, if Boardwalk is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Boardwalk must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Bader is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Boardwalk looking to sit in guard and control but Bader gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Boardwalk is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Bader slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Boardwalk tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Bader throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Willie Bader seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Boardwalk is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bader's half guard.
Bader is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Boardwalk's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Boardwalk's back!

Bader has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Boardwalk can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Boardwalk is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Bader can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Boardwalk controls the pace.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Bader wants to improve his position but Boardwalk is controlling well.

Boardwalk seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Bader tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Boardwalk wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Boardwalk is staying tight to Bader's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Jonnie Boardwalk comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Boardwalk has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
