Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roller Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Badam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Roller Gracie! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sam Badam! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Badam stuffs the takedown. Badam lands with a thumping leg kick.
Badam connects with a single shot there. Badam keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Gracie tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Badam swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roller Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gracie takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Gracie shoots in and drives through. Badam sprawls well. Badam lands a front kick. Gracie is breathing heavily. A chopping leg kick lands by Badam. Gracie misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Badam lands a jab to Gracie's midsection. Badam goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Gracie fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Roller Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Badam misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gracie tries to close the distance and clinch but Badam swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Gracie looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie closes this distance looking for a takedown but Badam circles away. Gracie doesn't manage to clinch there - Badam circles away.
Badam closes the distance and clinches. Badam breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gracie wants to clinch and Badam counters with a leg kick. Gracie tries to keep at a distance but Badam has taken the fight into the clinch. Gracie goes for a takedown attempt but Badam pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Gracie shoots and misses and Badam counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Badam wants to stand up but Gracie is controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Badam stands up out of the half guard. A slapping body kick lands there for Badam. Badam goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Gracie misses with a takedown and Badam counters with a big head kick but Gracie shrugs it off. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Badam looks to land a combination. Gracie sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Gracie is rocked! Badam fails to land with a series of punches.
Oh Gracie is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Gracie tries to clinch and Badam counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Gracie seems to have got his legs back now. Gracie tries for a takedown but Badam circles away easily and Badam counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Gracie is lucky that one didn't land flush. Gracie shoots and misses and Badam counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Badam tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Gracie. Badam thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie wants to improve his position but Badam is controlling well.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Gracie slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Badam tries to free his leg and advance position but Gracie is retaining full guard. Badam stands up and waves to Gracie to follow him. Gracie shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Badam counters with a big head kick but Gracie shrugs it off. Gracie shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Badam counters with a big head kick but Gracie shrugs it off. Badam clinches up with Gracie and pushes him back against the ropes. Gracie fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Badam breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gracie misses with a takedown and Badam counters with a nice low kick that buckles Gracie's knee momentarily. Badam scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Badam lands with a kick to the temple. Gracie shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Gracie takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Badam lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Gracie shoots and misses and Badam counters with a slapping leg kick. Badam moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Gracie tries to clinch but fails miserably and Badam counters by moving into the clinch. This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Badam breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Badam circles away from the clinch attempt and Badam moves into the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sam Badam dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Gracie with a poor takedown and Badam counters with a flying knee. Nice. Gracie tries for a takedown but Badam circles away easily and Badam counters with an outside leg kick.
Badam lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Badam throws a sloppy head kick and Gracie moves out of range easily. Badam darts in and clinches Gracie up against the ropes. Badam has had enough of the clinch but Gracie keeps him there for the moment. Gracie fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roller Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him. Badam wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Gracie drops down looking for an ankle pick but Badam pulls his leg out and moves away.
Badam scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie is trying to get back to half guard. Gracie is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Badam off and has taken his back! Gracie is not going to allow Badam to sit and survive in this position. Badam is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Gracie is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Badam taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Gracie.
