Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between William Bonney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bonney comes into the arena with public enemy number 1 blaring out of the sound system. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, William Bonney! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Frank James! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and James duly obliges.
It looks like William Bonney has been cut. Bonney scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. James is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Bonney connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused James some visible discomfort.
James is looking to regain half guard here but Bonney keeps moving and retains side control. Bonney tries for a kimura but James is defending well. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. James is looking to reverse the position. Bonney has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. This has been an exciting period of action! James misses with a strike from the bottom. Bonney thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. James is looking to regain half guard here but Bonney keeps moving and retains side control. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Bonney looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Bonney working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

That's one minute gone in the round. Bonney looks up at the clock and then as James takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Bonney smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
James misses with an elbow from the bottom. Bonney working the head with strikes. James sneaks back into half guard. James keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. James actively working from the bottom here. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Bonney looks to score some points with some ground and pound. James tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. James looking for submissions from an awkward position here. James is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bonney pulls his head out easily. Bonney working the head and body with strikes. Bonney lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bonney working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bonney takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. James is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Bonney scores with a couple of nice shots. James throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

James looking for submissions off his back. Bonney in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. James tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Bonney!
