Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jay King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Achilles Leonidas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jay King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Achilles Leonidas!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Steve Montenegro and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leonidas feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to King's calf.
That kick from Leonidas tenderised King's leg. King is trying to keep his angry face on.
King changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Leonidas tries to avoid it but King manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Leonidas to the ground. Leonidas escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
King is looking to clinch.
King could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
King shoots in looking for a takedown but Leonidas manages to keep the fight standing, pushing King's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from King is defended easily by Leonidas.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jay King. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Leonidas slaps away a takedown attempt from King, before circling back to the center of the mat.
King fails to land the takedown.
King bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Leonidas sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Leonidas is pressing down on King's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Leonidas wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Let's hope that Leonidas has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jay King wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Leonidas, right into the meat.
King fails with a takedown attempt.
Jay King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
King shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Leonidas sprawls well. Leonidas wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. King gets slowly back to his feet.
Leonidas turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
King tries for a takedown but Leonidas circles away easily
and Leonidas counters with a nice leg kick.
King is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Leonidas. King shrugs it off though.
Leonidas lets loose with a powerful body kick. King will feel that in the morning.
Leonidas scores with a leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Leonidas lands a big head kick that sends King tumbling to the mat! Leonidas takes a step backwards and waves King back to his feet - he wants the finish!
King is rocked!
It looks like Jay King has been cut.
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Leonidas throws an absolute beast of a head kick! King is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Achilles Leonidas!
