Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kaheli Sonni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Avon Barksdale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sonni kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Chica. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barksdale throws a hook but Sonni avoids it easily.
Sonni looks to land a body kick but Barksdale moved away.

Barksdale shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sonni pinned against the cage. Sonni gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Sonni fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Barksdale is out of range.
Barksdale shoots for a takedown but Sonni saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Sonni dives in and grabs Barksdale's left leg, looking for a takedown. Barksdale pushes down on Sonni's head and hops out.

Barksdale closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sonni did well to prevent Barksdale getting side control.

Barksdale is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Barksdale goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Sonni turns into him and now he's in Barksdale's guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sonni prevents Barksdale from getting back to his feet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Kaheli Sonni will probably get the nod.

Barksdale shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sonni sprawls well. Sonni wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Barksdale gets slowly back to his feet.

Barksdale closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Sonni's guard.

Barksdale is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Sonni is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Sonni has escaped and now he's on top!

Barksdale has instead reached around Sonni's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Barksdale arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
