Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Robert Booey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Otou Hek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hek has chosen Fernanda Martins as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Robert Booey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Otou Hek!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hek lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Booey shoots in for a takedown but Hek shows good takedown defense.
Booey shoots in but Hek avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Hek darts in and clinches Booey up against the cage.

Booey has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Hek is trying to keep an underhook but Booey manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Booey with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Hek wants to get back to full guard.
Booey looks to land a strike but Hek avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Booey trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Booey seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Booey stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hek swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Booey is looking to work some ground and pound but Hek has wrist control.

Booey might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Robert Booey just wasn't active enough.
Hek stuffs the takedown.

Booey closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Booey lands in his opponent's guard.
Booey is fighting to break Hek's control of his arms but Hek is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Robert Booey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hek moves into the clinch.

Hek breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Booey shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hek napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Hek is not content to let Booey control the position.
Booey looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Hek is avoiding damage well.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hek regains half guard, as Booey was trying to land strikes.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Booey in particular looking to stall.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Booey looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Hek throws a series of punches but Booey avoids them all with ease.

Hek slaps away a takedown attempt from Booey, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Booey looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hek is fending him off so far but Booey persists. Nope, Hek circles away and we're back to standing.

Booey will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Robert Booey overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Otou Hek.

Hek shoots in and bounces Booey off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Booey is trying to hold Hek in close to prevent damage but Hek has managed to pass into half guard.
Booey is looking to improve his position.
Hek wants to free his trapped foot but Booey is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Booey moves into full guard.
Hek is stalling in the full guard.

Booey is pulling down on Hek's head to control his posture.
Hek looking to sit in guard and control but Booey gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Hek pulls Booey in close to prevent any damage.
Booey stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hek swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Otou Hek showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Booey shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hek as he avoids it easily.

Hek wanted to stand there but Booey had control of the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Otou Hek comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Hek has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
