Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Pinta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Adebisi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Pinta might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to God Is an Astronaut - All Is Violent, All Is Bright. The crowd seem to be enjoying Adebisi's choice of entrance music: Go Go Adebisi. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Thomas Pinta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Simon Adebisi!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adebisi jabs at Pinta's body.
Adebisi throws a looping overhand right but Pinta ducks down to avoid it.
Pinta tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Pinta lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Adebisi has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Pinta finds it's way round the side to connect with Adebisi's head.
Good shot there by Pinta.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pinta misses with an uppercut. Adebisi saw that one coming.
Adebisi attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Pinta tries to land a front kick but Adebisi steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Adebisi looks to score with a jab to the body but Pinta is just out of range.

and Adebisi counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Pinta's guard now.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pinta manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Adebisi is wriggling around trying to escape.
Adebisi bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Adebisi postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Adebisi wants to control from the top but Pinta keeps moving.
Pinta will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Adebisi has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Pinta works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Adebisi on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Adebisi loads up on a big right hand but Pinta slips the punch.
Pinta scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Adebisi misses with a hook
and Pinta counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Pinta throws a push kick but Adebisi slaps the foot to one side.

Pinta is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Adebisi manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Pinta on his heels. He'll look to pass Pinta's guard now, I'm sure.

Pinta not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Adebisi shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pinta pinned against the cage. Pinta gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Adebisi is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Adebisi avoids the head kick by Pinta.

And that's the end of the fight!
Thomas Pinta showed his dominance in that final round.

After the fight, Thomas Pinta was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
