Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cid Highwind (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Burbank Bulldog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bulldog has chosen British Bulldog as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cid Highwind!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
13 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Burbank Bulldog!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bulldog looks to land a body kick but Highwind moved away.
Highwind drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Bulldog manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Highwind manages to get himself to full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bulldog accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Highwind controls Bulldog momentarily but Bulldog frees himself.
Bulldog has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Highwind is proving hard to escape from.

Bulldog trying to control the position from guard on top but Highwind is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Highwind has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Bulldog decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Bulldog shoots in looking for a takedown but Highwind manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bulldog's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Bulldog misses with a body shot.
Bulldog throws a nice looking combination but Highwind bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Highwind on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

and Highwind counters with a series of strikes. Bulldog will be more careful next time no doubt.
Bulldog takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

and Highwind counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Bulldog lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Highwind circles away quickly and effectively.

Bulldog looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Bulldog fails with a takedown attempt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bulldog shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Highwind pinned against the cage. Highwind gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Cid Highwind has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Burbank Bulldog.

Bulldog looks to land a combination but Highwind avoids it well.
Bulldog has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Bulldog there as he acknowledges the shot.
Bulldog pivots, looking for a leg kick but Highwind is out of range and Bulldog settles back down.

Highwind shoots and misses
so Bulldog counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Bulldog has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Bulldog postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Highwind is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bulldog, into his guard.
Bulldog had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Highwind defends it easily.
Highwind working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Highwind throwing strikes but missing.
Bulldog scrambles and gets back to his feet.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bulldog closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Highwind tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Bulldog smiles and moves away.
Highwind changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bulldog tries to avoid it but Highwind manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bulldog to the ground. Bulldog escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bulldog shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Highwind is trying to defend but Bulldog finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Highwind tries to roll over but Bulldog keeps him under control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bulldog decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Burbank Bulldog dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Bulldog will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Highwind tries to buck Bulldog off but Bulldog is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bulldog is trying to get an arm triangle but Highwind is defending well.

Bulldog goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Highwind has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Bulldog but great work by Highwind.

Highwind creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Bulldog sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Highwind swings around for an armbar but Bulldog sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Highwind's guard.
Highwind looking for a guillotine here but Bulldog defends easily.

Nice takedown defense from Highwind. No joy for Bulldog on that attempt.

Burbank Bulldog showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Highwind lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Burbank Bulldog comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
