Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matias Berry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Todd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Matias Berry! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Josh Todd! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Josh West and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Todd jabs at Berry's body. Todd misses with a takedown and Berry counters with a nice double leg into guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Berry missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Berry looking to sit in guard and control but Todd gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Todd forces his way into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Berry wants to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Todd wants to lay and pray for a moment but Berry keeps working. Berry on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Berry tries to get out of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Todd perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Todd wants to lay and pray for a moment but Berry keeps working. Berry knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Todd on the ground.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Josh Todd wasn't active enough on the ground. Berry displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Todd. Berry throws a nice looking combination but Todd bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Todd feints a jab promting Berry to slip. Todd then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Berry slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Todd shoots for a takedown but Berry saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Matias Berry has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Josh Todd. Todd slaps away a takedown attempt from Berry, before circling back to the center of the mat. Nice defenses there by Todd. Berry decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Berry is pressing down on Todd's thigh, looking to free his foot. Todd is holding on for now. Todd tries to get to full guard but Berry has control of the leg. Todd kicks Berry off and gets back to his feet. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Todd with a poor takedown letting Berry counter with a right hand. Berry connects with a body shot that sends Todd's belly button to the back. Berry is breathing heavily. Berry looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Berry shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Berry misses with a combination
and Todd counters with a three punch combo that has Berry backing up. Berry nods at Todd to acknowledge the strikes. Berry takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Todd closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Todd is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Berry looks calm but he's in trouble here. Todd gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Berry is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Todd lets go of the hold and Berry can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Josh Todd!
