Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oliver Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Edwards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Oliver Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Luke Edwards!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller with a hook.
Miller tries to bum rush Edwards with a series of wild strikes but Edwards uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Miller throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A shot to the liver by Miller. Beautiful body shot.
Edwards has a takedown stuffed.
Miller fails to land with a series of punches.
Miller avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Good standup being displayed there by Miller as he connects with a hook.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Miller throws a lazy head kick
and Edwards counters with a body kick.
Miller throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Edwards looks for a takedown but Miller sprawls well.
Edwards takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Miller throws a head kick but Edwards moves out of range.
Miller is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Miller ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Edwards moves away.
Miller scores with a jab. Edwards acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Edwards gets a clinch.

Miller breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Edwards should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Edwards throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Miller was covering up waiting for the punch and Edwards finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Miller wants to stand and escape but Edwards is having none of it.
Miller is breathing heavily.
Edwards wants to control from the top but Miller keeps moving.
Edwards scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Edwards is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Edwards forces his way into half guard.

Edwards missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Miller makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Some wild striking there from Miller.
Miller throws a series of punches but Edwards avoids them all with ease.
Oliver Miller is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Miller throws a leg kick

and Edwards counters by clinching up.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Edwards jumps into guard, dragging Miller to the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Miller being controlled here momentarily.

Edwards tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Miller would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Edwards controls Miller momentarily but Miller frees himself.
Miller wanted to stand there but Edwards had control of the position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Edwards is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Luke Edwards was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Edwards takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Edwards is defended easily by Miller.
Oliver Miller has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luke Edwards.
Edwards fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Miller connects with a looping right hand.
A punch lands to the side of Edwards 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Miller avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Miller throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Edwards counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Miller swats away the attempt to clinch by Edwards.
Edwards shoots in looking for a takedown. Miller tries to sprawl out of it but Edwards keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Miller manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Edwards lands a front kick.
Miller jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
A looping hook to the body misses from Edwards. Miller does a little dance to reset his feet.

Edwards clinches up against the cage.
Miller is trying to break the clinch but Edwards is controlling him.
Miller throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Edwardss head.

Edwards pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Miller ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Edwards moves away.
A swing and a miss from Edwards.
Oliver Miller is winning the standup battle so far.
Miller misses with a combination
and Edwards counters with a big head kick but Miller shrugs it off.
Edwards keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Miller.
Miller throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Edwards.

Miller misses with a head kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Miller throws a looping overhand right but Edwards ducks down to avoid it.
Edwards shoots for a takedown but Miller saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Oliver Miller is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Edwards feints and as Miller raises his hands in defense, Edwards changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Edwards tries to free his leg and advance position but Miller is retaining full guard.
Edwards is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Edwards wants to control from the top but Miller keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Luke Edwards.
Horrible takedown by Edwards or perhaps it was just good defense by Miller which made him look bad.

Edwards wants to clinch.
Miller misses with the combination.
Miller swinging wildly here.
Edwards lands a nice shot to the body.
Miller just misses with a punch to the body.
Edwards tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Miller manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Edwards will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Oliver Miller has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luke Edwards.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Miller is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Edwards tries to close the distance and clinch but Miller swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Edwards scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Edwards wants to work for an arm triangle but Miller is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Miller is looking to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Miller is staying active underneath Edwards, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Miller wants to stand back up but Edwards manages to pass into side control.

Miller is trying to get back to his feet.

Miller throws Edwards to one side and escapes!
Miller thows a body shot but no joy.
Edwards looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Miller is fending him off so far but Edwards persists. Nope, Miller circles away and we're back to standing.
Edwards slips a straight right by Miller.

Edwards manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Miller on his heels. He'll look to pass Miller's guard now, I'm sure.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Miller is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Edwards is controlling him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Edwards must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Luke Edwards showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Miller drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Edwards right on the button. Edwards goes down! Miller follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Miller gets the win via TKO!
