The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. A short right hand to the side of the head by Garrison. Garrison misses with some punches.
Piotrov is pressed up against the cage. Garrison has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Piotrov down to the mat. Piotrov avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Piotrov throws a right and a left that both miss. Piotrov misses with a combination
and Garrison counters with a shoot takedown. Piotrov fights it but they end up in guard. Garrison is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

It looks like Mikhail Piotrov has been cut. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Piotrov can do anything to dispel that myth. Garrison sitting and controlling from the half guard.
