Niedzwiedzki comes to the cage accompanied by Nirvana - You know you're right. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Walter Kurtz!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, John Kavanagh and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kurtz misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Niedzwiedzki.
Niedzwiedzki motions for Kurtz to come forward. Niedzwiedzki throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Kurtz will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Kurtz looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Niedzwiedzki throws an off balance right hand
and Kurtz counters with a left to the body.
Kurtz avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Niedzwiedzki tries for a takedown but Kurtz sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Niedzwiedzki darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Kurtz steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Niedzwiedzki.

Kurtz looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Niedzwiedzki is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kurtz is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Kurtz is not content to let Niedzwiedzki control the position.
Kurtz is trying to control Niedzwiedzki's posture but Niedzwiedzki avoids it.
Kurtz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Niedzwiedzki. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kurtz tries to buck Niedzwiedzki off but Niedzwiedzki is having none of it.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Kurtz is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Niedzwiedzki not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Kurtz tries to get to full guard but Niedzwiedzki has control of the leg.

Niedzwiedzki is looking for a kimura but Kurtz is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Niedzwiedzki to get the leverage.

Kurtz manages to work his way to half guard, despite Niedzwiedzki's best efforts.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Walter Kurtz will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kurtz cracks Niedzwiedzki on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Niedzwiedzki falls backwards against the cage. Kurtz follows up with more strikes that drop Niedzwiedzki to his knees. Kurtz keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Niedzwiedzki! This one is all over!
