Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chip Freedom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reggie Warren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Freedom's entrance music is Star Spangled Banner. A fine choice. Warren comes into a darkened arena with his song building. God's gonna cut you down by Jonny Cash kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Reggie Warren enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 21 - 3, fighting out of New York, Chip Freedom!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 16 - 1, fighting out of New York, Reggie Warren!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Bruno Lombardi and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Warren loads up on a big right hand but Freedom slips the punch.
Warren throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Freedom walks into a jab.


It looks like Chip Freedom has been cut.
A decent looking cross lands there for Freedom.
Freedom scores with the left hand. Warren knows he should have avoided that one.
Warren just misses with a punch to the body.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Freedom moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Freedom throws a right and a left that Warren avoids nicely.

Chip Freedom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Freedom displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Warren throws out the jab.

Freedom throws a series of punches but Warren moves out of range.
Freedom does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Freedom misses the shot to the body.
Warren uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Freedom.
Freedom throws a poor cross that misses

and Warren counters with a nice double leg into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Warren slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Warren stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Freedom swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Warren not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Freedom looking to hit a scissor sweep but Warren is one step ahead there.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Freedom throws a left and a right that both miss
and Warren counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Freedom thinking.
Freedom connects with a crisp jab.
Freedom uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Warren closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Freedom tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Warren paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Freedom throws a head kick but Warren moves out of range.

Warren slips a jab and a cross from Freedom.
Warren showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Freedom.
Chip Freedom is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Freedom throws a predictable looking body shot
and Warren counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Freedom swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Warren counters with a takedown into side control.
Freedom is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Warren in side control, just content to control the action for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Warren lands a few punches from side control.
Warren takes a little break here. Freedom wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Warren's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Reggie Warren wasn't active enough on the ground.

Warren takes one on the chin but seems OK.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Reggie Warren dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Chip Freedom's cut.
That's time! Freedom's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Freedom swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Freedom takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Warren shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Freedom pinned against the cage. Freedom gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Freedom throws an overhand right that lands on Warren's shoulder, as Warren tries to avoid the shot.
Freedom thuds his right hand into Warren's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Reggie Warren seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Freedom waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Warren.
Warren digs a good body shot into Freedom's ribs.
Freedom misses with a jab, cross combination.
Freedom tries to clinch up but Warren circles away and keeps his distance.
Freedom rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Warren counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Freedom controls Warren momentarily but Warren frees himself.

Warren looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Warren is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Freedom wants to sweep here but Warren controlling him for the moment.
Freedom is trying to keep Warren in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Freedom wants to stand and escape but Warren is having none of it.

Warren throws a wild body kick that Freedom sees coming a mile off.
Freedom looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Warren cracks a nice hook into Freedom's ribs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Donk. Warren catches Freedom right on the button with a cross.
Warren avoids the body shot from Freedom.
Warren connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Freedom's hands.


Chip Freedom's cut is getting worse.

Warren shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Warren was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!


Freedom is rocked!
Warren controls the position.
Oh Freedom is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Freedom struggling a bit here.

Warren connects with a body shot that sends Freedom's belly button to the back.
Freedom gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Warren cracks Freedom with a hook to the temple - Freedom is on wobbly legs here! Warren swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Freedom falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Warren wins by TKO!
