Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mark Piltz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maurice Sullivan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Piltz comes into the arena with Don't Stop Me Now blaring out of the sound system. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mark Piltz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Maurice Sullivan! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Damien Edna and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Piltz punishes Sullivan's body with a nice straight punch. Sullivan misses with a combination
and Piltz counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Sullivan fails with a takedown attempt. Piltz lands a lovely overhand right. Danga de danga de dang - Sullivan scores with a four punch combination! Sullivan avoids a kick to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Piltz misses with a wild combination.
Good work by Sullivan as he checks the leg kick. Piltz throws out a leg kick but Sullivan moves out of range and Piltz only half commits. Piltz cracks Sullivan with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. A combination from Piltz does no damage. Piltz throws a right and a left that both miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sullivan tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Piltz counters with a thumping low kick. Piltz misses with a double jab.
Piltz swings for the body but Sullivan moves out of range.
Piltz fails to land with a series of punches.
Sloppy strikes from Piltz. Those never looked like landing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Piltz looks to land a right hand but Sullivan moved out of range. Sullivan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. A left lands for Piltz. A looping hook to the body misses from Piltz. Sullivan does a little dance to reset his feet. A combination from Sullivan does no damage. Piltz thows a body shot but no joy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Piltz fails to land with a series of punches.

Piltz throws a right hand that Sullivan ducks under and follows up with a left that Sullivan also avoids with ease. Piltz lands a nice hook to Sullivan's body. Sullivan takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Piltz fails in his attempt to clinch. Piltz shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sullivan defends it nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Piltz dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Piltz tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Sullivan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. The fight stays on the outside here - Sullivan looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Piltz looks to land a combination but Sullivan avoids it well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Piltz moves out of range of the body kick. Mark Piltz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sullivan is looking to land body kicks.
That's one minute gone in the round. Piltz misses with a straight right. Sullivan moves out of range as Piltz strikes. Piltz throws a poor cross that misses
and Sullivan counters with a two punch combo. Piltz manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Sullivan on his heels. He'll look to pass Sullivan's guard now, I'm sure. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Piltz has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Sullivan is proving hard to escape from. Piltz postures up in Sullivan's guard and throws a big left but Sullivan blocks it. Piltz looking to sit in guard and control but Sullivan gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sullivan pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Piltz is keeping the position for now. Piltz throws his legs up looking for a submission but Sullivan uses it to pass to side control.
Piltz is trying to improve his position. Piltz is working hard here to advance position. Piltz managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Sullivan.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sullivan content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Piltz tries to buck Sullivan off but Sullivan is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Piltz parries the strikes from Sullivan easily there. Sullivan is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Piltz to escape.
Piltz is looking for a sweep. Sullivan decides to take the fight back to the feet. Sullivan fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Piltz misses with a kick to the body and Sullivan counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Piltz lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Sullivan forces Piltz back against the cage and clinches. Piltz misses with the head strike.
Sullivan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Sullivan connects with a body shot that sends Piltz's belly button to the back. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Piltz looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Mark Piltz will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Sullivan takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Piltz throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Piltz throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Piltz tries to land a body kick and Sullivan counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Sullivan swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Piltz counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Piltz with a hook. Sullivan closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sullivan throws a series of punches but Piltz moves out of range. Piltz tries to land a leg kick but Sullivan saw it coming and moves away.
Piltz swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Sullivan counters with a three punch combo that has Piltz backing up. Piltz nods at Sullivan to acknowledge the strikes. Sullivan is looking to clinch but Piltz is avoiding it.
Piltz tries to land a body kick and Sullivan counters with a one-two to the body. Piltz works over Sullivan's head and body with a nice combination. Piltz misses the jab. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Piltz takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Sullivan misses with a jab, cross combination.
Mark Piltz is winning the standup battle so far. Sullivan throws a nice outside leg kick. Piltz misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sullivan misses with a body kick. Sullivan takes a body punch but keeps moving. Piltz looks to score with a jab to the body but Sullivan is just out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Piltz misses with a double jab.
Mark Piltz is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Piltz throws a half hearted mid kick. A chopping leg kick lands by Piltz. Sullivan gets in close and instigates a clinch. Sullivan lands a hook to the side of the head. Sullivan lands with a short head shot on the inside. Piltz avoids the elbow strike from Sullivan, against the cage.
Sullivan goes for a takedown attempt but Piltz pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Piltz tries to bum rush Sullivan with a series of wild strikes but Sullivan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Piltz looks to land a combination but Sullivan avoids it well. Piltz throws a series of punches but Sullivan moves out of range. Piltz turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sullivan throws an off balance right hand
and Piltz counters with a straight right hand.
And that's the end of the fight! Mark Piltz showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Piltz, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Mark Piltz! Mark Piltz decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
