Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Strawberry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buck Billiards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daniel Strawberry has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strawberry tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Billiards swivels and escapes.
Nice takedown defense from Strawberry. No joy for Billiards on that attempt.
Billiards fails with an attempt to clinch.

Billiards fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Strawberry, pushing him back against the cage.

Strawberry wants the takedown. Billiards is fighting it off but Strawberry persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Billiards's guard against the cage.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Strawberry stops Billiards from standing up.

Billiards looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Strawberry pushes down on Billiards's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Strawberry stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Billiards swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Strawberry thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Strawberry sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Billiards's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Strawberry is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Billiards sees it coming and defends easily.

Strawberry wants to free his trapped foot but Billiards is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Strawberry seems to be working for a kimura but Billiards defends the submission attempt.

Strawberry is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Billiards is just riding it out for now. Strawberry eventually gives up the hold.

Strawberry is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Billiards doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Strawberry.

Strawberry drops back looking for a leg! Billiards is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Billiards manages to kick Strawberry off! Strawberry jumps back into Billiards's guard.

Strawberry drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Billiards manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Strawberry has Billiards in his guard.

Strawberry throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Billiards escapes and throws Strawberry's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Billiards wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Strawberry, who protects the arm well.

Billiards really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Strawberry. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Strawberry misses with an elbow from the bottom.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Billiards displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Strawberry.

Billiards leaves Strawberry with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel Strawberry. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Daniel Strawberry overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Billiards got a little sloppy there for a moment and Strawberry has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Billiards has managed to get both his arms back between Strawberry's legs - danger averted.

Strawberry utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Strawberry is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Billiards is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Strawberry has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Billiards is looking to defend but Strawberry has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Billiards! Strawberry pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Billiards taps out and this one is all over!
