Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, James Jorge!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Jason Young!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Ackerman and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young tries to clinch but Jorge moves out of range.

Jorge feints and as Young raises his hands in defense, Jorge changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jorge content to stall in guard here.
Jorge in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Jorge wants to stand but Young is controlling his posture from full guard.
Young lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Jorge!
Jorge is trying desperately to improve position.
Young sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Young shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jorge pinned against the cage. Jorge gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Young takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Young has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Jorge's lack of action.
Young is not content to let Jorge control the position.

Jorge misses with a head shot. Young uses the momentum to regain guard.
Jorge is looking to work some ground and pound but Young has wrist control.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jorge wants to control from the top but Young keeps moving.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Young swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Young throws a right hand that Jorge ducks under and follows up with a left that Jorge also avoids with ease.

Jorge tries to clinch but Young moves out of range.

Jorge takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Young closes the distance and pushes Jorge back into the cage.

Young tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jorge sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Young somewhat.

We're going to have a standup here because James Jorge wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

James Jorge has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Young.

Young takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to James Jorge.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jorge, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
