Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Troy Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hector Valdemes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hector Valdemes is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Troy Brown! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Hector Valdemes! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Glass and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown has taken the fight to the clinch.
Valdemes tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Brown smiles and moves away.
Brown tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Valdemes swivels and escapes. Brown misses with a few strikes there.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Brown jumps guard.
Valdemes passes into half guard. Brown wants to improve his position but Valdemes is controlling well.
Valdemes seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Brown has recovered full guard. Valdemes drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Valdemes jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Valdemes wants to pass the guard but Brown is keeping the position. Brown not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Brown might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Valdemes is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Brown working for a triangle but Valdemes defends it easily.
Valdemes thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Valdemes postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Brown is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Valdemes, into his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Valdemes escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Brown gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Valdemes is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Brown rolls with it to try and escape but Valdemes cranks on the arm and Brown is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Hector Valdemes!
