Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Franz Kafka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nelli Kuukeri! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Bruno Hogan and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kafka throws a series of punches but Kuukeri avoids them all with ease. Kuukeri misses with a body shot.
Kuukeri shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kafka as he jumps to the side. Kafka looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Kuukeri throws a leg kick but Kafka sees it coming and moves out of range. Kafka with a body punch. A glancing blow. Kuukeri tries a low kick but Kafka avoids it. Decent striking displayed by Kafka there. Kafka misses with a two punch combination.
Good standup being displayed there by Kafka as he connects with a hook. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kuukeri looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kafka is fending him off so far but Kuukeri persists. Nope, Kafka circles away and we're back to standing. Nice shot lands for Kafka. Kafka fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Kuukeri looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Kuukeri digs a good hook to Kafka's body.
Franz Kafka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kafka connects with a nice looking jab.
Kafka lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kafka. Kuukeri throws a wild body kick that Kafka sees coming a mile off. Kuukeri throws a jab when Kafka was well out of range. Kuukeri looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kafka is fending him off so far but Kuukeri persists. Nope, Kafka circles away and we're back to standing. Franz Kafka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nelli Kuukeri. Kuukeri looks winded! Kafka tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kuukeri misses with a straight left. A low kick from Kuukeri is predictable there enabling Kafka to counter with a crisp jab. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kuukeri avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kafka scores with a spinning back kick! Kuukeri tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Kafka lands with a kick to the ribs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kafka listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Kafka throws a nice outside leg kick. Kafka instigates a clinch. Kafka lands a left hand.
Kafka lands an elbow inside that Kuukeri shrugs off. Kafka will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Kuukeri up against the cage. Kafka is looking to control Kuukeri's arms but Kuukeri gets an underhook and turns him. Now Kafka has his back to the cage. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Kafka just misses with a elbow thrown towards Kuukeri's brow. Kafka lands a body punch in the clinch. Kuukeri takes an elbow to the forehead. Kafka scores with a shot to the side of Kuukeri's head. Kafka scores with a shoulder strike. Kafka's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kafka thows a body kick. Kuukeri tries to catch it but that hurt him. Kuukeri tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kafka throws out a powerful jab. Kafka closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Kuukeri! Kafka dives in looking to finish! Kuukeri is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Franz Kafka! Franz Kafka decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
