Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wolfgang Steuermann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Kilpatrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steuermann comes to the cage accompanied by Ein Prosit. Kilpatrick has chosen Parkway Drive - Dark Days as his entrance music. Luke Kilpatrick will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Wolfgang Steuermann!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Luke Kilpatrick!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, John Mangel and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steuermann throws a series of punches but Kilpatrick moves out of range.
Steuermann with a poor takedown
and Kilpatrick counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Kilpatrick stuffs the takedown.
Steuermann shoots for a double leg takedown but Kilpatrick sprawls well. He's pushed Steuermann's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wolfgang Steuermann. That's going to take a lot out of him.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Steuermann.
Steuermann misses with a takedown attempt
and Kilpatrick counters with a stiff right hand.
Steuermann walks into a jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A decent looking cross lands there for Kilpatrick.
Steuermann shoots in but Kilpatrick avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Horrible takedown by Steuermann or perhaps it was just good defense by Kilpatrick which made him look bad.
Steuermann looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Steuermann throws a right hand that Kilpatrick ducks under and follows up with a left that Kilpatrick also avoids with ease.
Steuermann shoots and misses
and Kilpatrick counters with an inside leg kick.
Steuermann is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kilpatrick swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Kilpatrick misses with a two punch combination.
Kilpatrick lands with a thumping leg kick.
Steuermann tries for a takedown but Kilpatrick circles away easily
and Kilpatrick counters with a nice body shot.
Kilpatrick moves into the clinch.
Kilpatrick lands a right hand.
Kilpatrick manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Kilpatrick scores with a hook to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kilpatrick struggles to land a body shot inside as Steuermann controls his hands.
Kilpatrick goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Kilpatrick prevents a takedown attempt there.
Kilpatrick lands a hook to the side of the head.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Kilpatrick working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Steuermann has Kilpatrick pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Kilpatrick manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Steuermann can't get the takedown.
Steuermann goes for a takedown attempt but Kilpatrick pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Steuermann falls off balance throwing a combination
and Kilpatrick counters with a crisp right hand that drops Steuermann! Kilpatrick lets Steuermann back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Kilpatrick lets loose with a powerful body kick. Steuermann will feel that in the morning.

Kilpatrick throws a low kick but it's checked well by Steuermann.
Kilpatrick circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Steuermann tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Kilpatrick wins by KO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Luke Kilpatrick!
A relieved looking Luke Kilpatrick thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
