Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fabiano Martins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reynaldo Requina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reynaldo Requina will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fabiano Martins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Leandro Rodrigues and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Requina moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Requina throws a sloppy head kick and Martins moves out of range easily.
Requina throws a leg kick but Martins moved away.
Requina scores with a jab. Martins acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Martins shoots in but Requina avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Martins throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Requina connects with a jab.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Requina motions for Martins to come forward. Requina throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Requina fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Martins shoots in and gets a takedown into Requina's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Martins wants to stand and escape but instead Requina has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Requina trying to control the position from guard on top but Martins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Martins is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Requina is controlling him.
Requina trying to control but Martins is working from the bottom.
Martins escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Requina gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Martins manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Martins tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Requina working to try and regain half guard.
Martins moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Requina has worked his arm free - good work by Requina!
Requina tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Martins wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Requina tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Martins presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Martins cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Requina tries to hold on but Martins pushes him away.
Martins swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Requina is now in Martins's guard. A big mistake from Martins there, giving up the dominant position!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Requina trying to control the position from guard on top but Martins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Martins throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Requina trying to control but Martins is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Requina not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Martins throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Martins throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Reynaldo Requina has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Requina tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Requina lands with a nice body punch.
Requina slaps away a takedown attempt from Martins, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Requina drops Martins with a beautiful combination! Martins stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Requina is looking for the KO!
It looks like Fabiano Martins has been cut.
Martins is breathing heavily.
Requina scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
A head kick misses from Requina.
Requina lunges at Martins with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Martins's hand.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Requina throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Martins is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!

After winning the bout, Reynaldo Requina thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
