Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Henry Longhorn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Carlson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Henry Longhorn looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Henry Longhorn!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Carl Carlson!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carlson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Longhorn sprawls well initially but Carlson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Longhorn really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Carlson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Longhorn wants to control but Carlson is keeping busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Longhorn is defending against the submission attempts here by Carlson.

Carlson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Carlson is looking to pass Longhorn's guard but actually Longhorn recovers to full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Longhorn dodges the punch combination from Carlson.

Longhorn slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Carlson.

Carlson kicks Longhorn off and gets back to his feet.

Carlson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Longhorn to the mat! Longhorn manages to get full guard.

Carlson wants to stand and escape but instead Longhorn has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Longhorn drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Longhorn jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Carlson manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Carlson looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Longhorn is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carlson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Longhorn is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Carlson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Carlson's back!
Carlson rolls, trying to escape but Longhorn keeps control of the position.

Longhorn is persistently looking for the submission but Carlson is defending it well.

Longhorn is looking for a triangle but Carlson pushes his legs off easily.

Carlson tries to free his leg and advance position but Longhorn is retaining full guard.
Carlson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Longhorn's guard.

Carlson escapes and gets back to his feet.

Longhorn shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Longhorn was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Longhorn wants to finish this one by submission but Carlson is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Longhorn.

Longhorn prevents Carlson from getting the reversal.

Carlson wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Longhorn has the hooks in. Carlson is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
