Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Joshua Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dec Dogg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson's entrance music is All the above by Maino. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joshua Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dec Dogg! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Joseph Jones and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dogg misses with the combination.
Jackson throws a right and a left that both miss. Jackson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Dogg shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jackson defends it nicely. Dogg avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jackson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Dogg connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jackson scrambles back to his feet. Dogg misses with a takedown attempt and Jackson counters with a nice low kick that buckles Dogg's knee momentarily. Jackson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dogg as he avoids it easily. Dogg fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jackson avoids it really well and circles away. Joshua Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dec Dogg. Jackson misses with a looping left. Dogg misses with a right hand and Jackson counters with a shoot takedown. Dogg fights it but they end up in guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Dogg seems keen to control Jackson's posture.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dogg wants to stand but Jackson is controlling the position. Dogg working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jackson. Jackson trying to control the position from guard on top but Dogg is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jackson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Now he's in guard on top. Dogg is stalling in the full guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Dogg wants to get up but he can't break Jackson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Dogg shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Dogg showed some decent athleticism there. Jackson is looking to control Dogg's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jackson avoid being mounted? Dogg wants to stand up but Jackson is controlling the position.
Jackson tries to get to full guard but Dogg has control of the leg. Dogg wants to pass the guard but Jackson is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dogg stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Jackson to get to his feet. Dogg gets the takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This has been an exciting period of action! Jackson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dogg wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Jackson struggling a bit here. Jackson is looking to regain half guard here but Dogg keeps moving and retains side control. Dogg decides to stand back up. Dogg steps back and let's Jackson get back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jackson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Dogg throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jackson's waist but Jackson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dogg off to one side. Dogg shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jackson sprawls well. Jackson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dogg gets slowly back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dec Dogg dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
No luck for Jackson with that takedown attempt. Dogg shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jackson as he avoids it easily. Dogg avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Jackson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dogg sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Dogg tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jackson swivels and escapes. Nice takedown defense from Dogg. No joy for Jackson on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joshua Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dogg stuffs the takedown. Dogg misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Dogg closes the distance and clinches up with Jackson, looking for a takedown. Dogg pushes Jackson against the cage but Jackson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Jackson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dogg napping and manages to drive through into side control! Dec Dogg has got the better of the ground game so far. Jackson throws a strike aimed at the side of Dogg's head but Dogg avoids it well. Dogg holds on to Jackson's head and controls the position momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dogg tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jackson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Jackson throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Dogg works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Jackson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dogg does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Jackson seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Dogg has recovered full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson wants to control from the top but Dogg keeps moving. Dogg wants to stand but Jackson is controlling the position. Jackson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Jackson looking to sit in guard and control but Dogg gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Jackson keeping moving, preventing Dogg from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dogg wanted to stand there but Jackson had control of the position. Jackson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jackson is looking to sweep but instead, Dogg has passed into half guard.
Dogg seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Dogg stands up from half guard. Jackson leaves Dogg with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Joshua Jackson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jackson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jackson takes one on the chin but seems OK.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dogg gets a double leg takedown into Jackson's guard. Dogg stands up and waves to Jackson to follow him. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jackson gets tackled into the cage by Dogg. Dogg maintains the clinch. Dogg breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dogg tries for a takedown but Jackson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Dogg is breathing heavily. Jackson lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. No joy there for Jackson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jackson has his takedown stuffed and Dogg counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jackson has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Dogg doesn't defend quickly enough and Jackson has managed to lock this one up! Can Dogg escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Jackson on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Joshua Jackson! A relieved looking Joshua Jackson thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
