The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tully misses with an uppercut. Connor saw that one coming.
A left lands for Connor.
Tully connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Connor momentarily.
Tully goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Tully scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Connor doesn't seem bothered though.
Tully lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Connor takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Tully misses with a low kick as Connor jumps back.
Tully swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Connor.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Tully lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Connor has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Connor and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Matthew Connor looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'I was really motivated to prove I was better! I knew this fight was going to be tough and it was but I came up on top and now I have to say to the lightweight division "watch out because Im a freight train and im heading your way!"'.
