Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Sandrom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guido Rizzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sandrom comes to the cage accompanied by Sand Man. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sandrom tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rizzo swivels and escapes. Rizzo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Rizzo doesn't manage to clinch there - Sandrom circles away.
Sandrom changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rizzo tries to avoid it but Sandrom manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rizzo to the ground. Rizzo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sandrom. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Sandrom. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sandrom shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rizzo but Rizzo pushes him off and we're back to square one. Sandrom fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Rizzo gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Rizzo working for a triangle but Sandrom defends it easily.
Sandrom prevents Rizzo from getting back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rizzo wants to improve his position but instead Sandrom has moved into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sandrom looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Sandrom is breathing heavily. Rizzo is looking to control Sandrom's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rizzo avoid being mounted? Sandrom trying to pass the guard but Rizzo defending well. Rizzo is trying to stand.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Rizzo wants to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Rizzo wants to clinch. Rizzo bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Sandrom is looking for a sweep. Sandrom prevents Rizzo from moving into mount. Check out the look on Rizzo's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Rizzo landing a few strikes. Rizzo tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Sandrom tries to improve position but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rizzo is putting a hurting on Sandrom here, landing some big shots from side control. Rizzo goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Sandrom rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Rizzo's guard! Nice work there by Sandrom! Rizzo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sandrom gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Sandrom with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Rizzo tries to land a sweep but no joy. Rizzo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sandrom manages to get himself to full guard.

He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rizzo works his way back into a safe position though. Sandrom is working an open guard so Rizzo takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Rizzo fails in his attempt to clinch. Sandrom misses with a takedown attempt and Rizzo holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Sandrom pressing his opponent against the cage. Rizzo stops a takedown attempt from Sandrom.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Guido Rizzo dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Sandrom scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Rizzo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sandrom is working away from the top position though. Rizzo wants to improve his position but Sandrom is controlling well.
Rizzo looking for submissions off his back. Sandrom prevents Rizzo from improving his position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sandrom seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Rizzo is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
