Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hunter Risley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuta Yamashita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hunter Risley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Yuta Yamashita! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Franklyn Lucas and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Risley misses the shot to the body. Risley throws a lazy head kick and Yamashita counters with a head kick. Hunter Risley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Yamashita blocks the body kick.
Yamashita keeps the fight on the outside. Risley tries to close the distance and clinch up but Yamashita swats him away and circles back towards the center. Yamashita slips a jab and a cross from Risley.
Risley tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Yamashita swivels and escapes. Risley gets the takedown into side control. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Yamashita on the wrong end of some ground and pound. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Risley prevents Yamashita from escaping the position. Yamashita seems a little lost for a moment, as Risley dominates the positioning.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yamashita takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Risley is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Yamashita has escaped the position, nice work there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yamashita is pushing Risley's head away, looking to escape. Risley manages to hold on to the position though. Risley looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Yamashita is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Risley takes a little break here. Yamashita wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Risley scores with punches from side control. This has been an exciting period of action! Yamashita is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Risley asserts his dominance and retains side control. Yamashita seems a little lost for a moment, as Risley dominates the positioning. Risley advances nicely into full mount. Risley knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Yamashita on the ground. Risley looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yamashita in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Risley controlling his opponent. Risley landing punches. Yamashita looks winded!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Risley stands up from mount. Strange move. Risley scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Risley takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Risley is working for a submission of some sort.
Still in half guard, Risley seems content to control. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Risley's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Risley seems to be working for a kimura but Yamashita defends the submission attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Risley tries to close the distance and clinch up but Yamashita swats him away and circles back towards the center. Risley tries to clinch up. Risley shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Risley makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Risley connects with a couple of short punches. Risley postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Yamashita is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Risley, into his guard. Yamashita wants to stand but Risley has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Risley working for a triangle but Yamashita defends it easily.
Yamashita wanted to stand there but Risley had control of the position. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Risley is on top in guard.
Risley seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Risley gets to his feet - Yamashita follows without any prompting. Risley misses with a low kick.
Risley closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Yamashita is breathing heavily. Risley is working Yamashita over with some ground and pound from side control. Yamashita is pushing Risley's head away, looking to escape. Risley manages to hold on to the position though. This has been an exciting period of action! Risley staying calm. Risley is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Yamashita is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yamashita being controlled for a moment. Risley stands up. Risley manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Yamashita on his heels. He'll look to pass Yamashita's guard now, I'm sure.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Risley wants to pass the guard but Yamashita is keeping the position. Risley passes Yamashita's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Risley is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Yamashita can do to turn this around? Risley working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Yamashita is trying to stand up here but Risley is controlling him well. Risley postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Yamashita to stand up. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Risley shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Risley stays in close to Yamashita's body and controls the position. Risley chips away with some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hunter Risley dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Risley misses with a body shot.
Risley scores with a takedown into Yamashita's guard. Risley advances position into side control! Hunter Risley overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Yamashita takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Risley passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Yamashita! Risley looking to control and managing it successfully. Yamashita takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Risley looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Risley wants to finish this one by submission but Yamashita is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Risley.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Risley is in the full mount, landing strikes. Risley breaks from Yamashita's wrist control and lands an elbow. Risley sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Risley with the ground and pound from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Risley controlling from mount. The referee warns Yamashita that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Yamashita is rocked! Risley postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Yamashita in real trouble here! The ref calls for Yamashita to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
