Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tony Rhodes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joel Rehel!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rehel changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Rhodes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rehel's waist but Rehel gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rhodes off to one side.
Rhodes throws a hook but Rehel blocks it.
Rhodes shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rehel but Rehel pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Rhodes fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tony Rhodes. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rehel throws a sloppy head kick and Rhodes moves out of range easily.

Some wild striking there from Rehel.
Rhodes shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rehel as he avoids it easily.
Rhodes could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Rhodes looks for a takedown but Rehel sprawls well.
Rhodes showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Rehel.
No joy there for Rehel, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rehel fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jab, jab by Rehel - just one landing.
A clash of legs there as Rhodes blocks the low kick.
Rhodes throws a combination that misses
and Rehel counters with a one-two to the body.
Rhodes shoots in and drives through. Rehel sprawls well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rehel misses with a few strikes there.
Rehel throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rhodes closes the distance and clinches up with Rehel, looking for a takedown. Rhodes pushes Rehel against the cage but Rehel circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Rehel counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Rhodes thinking.
Rhodes is breathing heavily.
Rehel lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Rhodes fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Rehel! Rhodes is backing up but he can't get away as Rehel lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Rhodes and ends the fight. Great knockout.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Joel Rehel!
