Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Hugh Johnson and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Sampson lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Sampson gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Sampson winds up and cracks Jones with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Sampson stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Jones to get to his feet.
Sampson lands a big head kick that sends Jones tumbling to the mat! Sampson takes a step backwards and waves Jones back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Jones is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jones pushes Sampson up against the cage in a clinch.
Jones is still on wobbly legs! Can Sampson finish him?
Sampson putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Jones in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Sampson manages to break the clinch.
Jones seems to have recovered his senses.
A head kick by Jones misses
and Sampson counters with a series of strikes that really hurt Jones! The ref looks into his eyes and sees nobody home - he's called the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Matt Sampson!
