Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jed Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bonald Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bonald Scott has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jed Black's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jed Black!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bonald Scott!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Black shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Scott counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Scott throwing strikes but missing.
Scott stands and throws Black's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Black tries to improve position but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Black is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Scott is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Black has managed to free his arm - good work.
Scott wants to pass to mount but Black is defending the position.
Scott thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Black's head.
Black knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Scott on the ground.
Black is trying to maintain the position but Scott is very close to passing his half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Black tries to get to full guard but Scott has control of the leg.

Scott is trying to work for a kimura but Black is defending well.
Scott passes the guard and advances to mount!
Black really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Scott avoids the attempt from Black to control.

Scott looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Scott goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Black turns into him and now he's in Scott's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Scott wants to control but Black passes easily into half guard.

Scott looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Black looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Black tries to stand and escape but Scott is controlling the position.
Scott makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Scott.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Scott is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Scott manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Black wants to hold on but Scott pushes him away.

Scott swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Black is now in Scott's guard. A big mistake from Scott there, giving up the dominant position!

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Scott is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Black is aware though and is defending well.
Scott utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Scott looking for a guillotine here but Black defends easily.
Scott looks winded!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Black wants to control from the top but Scott keeps moving.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Black trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bonald Scott dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Black misses with a takedown attempt

and Scott counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Scott.
Scott pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Black is keeping the position for now.

Scott is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Black is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Black has escaped and now he's on top!

Scott is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Black has his hands clasped together but Scott extends an breaks Black's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Scott.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Bonald Scott!
After winning the bout, Bonald Scott thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
