Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fu San (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sebastian Svans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Fu San!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sebastian Svans!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Svans has his takedown stuffed

and San counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
San trying to land knees to the body.
San is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

San pulls guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
San is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

San looking for a guillotine here but Svans defends easily.
Svans looking to sit in guard and control but San gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Svans working for a triangle but San defends it easily.

Svans not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Svans looking for subs off his back but San has passed one foot through into half guard.
Svans tries to get to full guard but San has control of the leg.
Svans is trying to control but can't.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Svans scores with a jab to the body.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

San breaks from the clinch.

Svans throws a jab when San was well out of range.

and San counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Svans!
San wants to stand but Svans is controlling his arm.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

San is staying tight to Svans's torso, preventing him from escaping.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
San has control of an arm but Svans manages to advance to San's back!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Svans is controlling the position but San somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Svans looks to clinch

and San counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
San wants to control from the top but Svans keeps moving.
San is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Svans is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
San slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
San has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Fu San wasn't doing enough on the ground.

San looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

San is working for a kimura but Svans is defending it quite comfortably.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Svans is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but San pulls his head out easily.

San is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
San not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
San is pressing down on Svans's thigh, looking to free his foot. Svans is holding on for now.

San misses with a head shot. Svans uses the momentum to regain guard.
Svans looking to control.

San thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Svans wants to stand and escape but San is having none of it.
San throws a big elbow that misses.
Svans has a closed guard, preventing San from standing up.
Svans wants to get back to his feet but San is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
San is looking to stand up but Svans won't let him.

Svans thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Svans tries to land a sweep but no joy.

San slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

San is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Svans is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
San trying to control the position but Svans is working away.
Svans is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Svans is looking to regain half guard here but San keeps moving and retains side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


San takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Sebastian Svans seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

San bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
San in side control, throwing shots but Svans defends.

San is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Svans knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Svans is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but San is staying active.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
San tries to score with some ground and pound. Svans controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

San ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. San no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Svans wanted to stand there but San had control of the position.
Svans is fighting to break San's control of his arms but San is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Svans drops back looking for a leg! San is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and San manages to kick Svans off! Svans jumps back into San's guard.
San keeping moving, preventing Svans from controlling successfully.

And that's the end of the fight!
Fu San showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for San, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
