Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ric Flair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Soham Roy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ric Flair could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Soham Roy's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ric Flair! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Soham Roy! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Lou da Vinci and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roy checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Flair throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Flair gets off balance looking for a body kick and Roy counters with an outside leg kick.
Flair tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Roy manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Roy avoids a kick to the body.
Roy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Roy darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Roy is trying to control. Flair wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Roy thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Flair's head. Flair on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Flair tries to get out of the position. Roy throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Roy trying to control from half guard but Flair is working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Roy laying and praying for a moment but Flair takes advantage and regains half guard. Flair is staying active underneath Roy, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Roy not landing any meaningful shots this time. Roy thows a huge punch but Flair dodges it nicely.

Roy takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Flair tries to roll over but Roy keeps him under control. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Roy connects with a nice short shot to Flair's temple. Roy sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Flair defending well though. Flair has hold of Roy's hands but Roy slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Roy is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Roy has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Roy connects with a nice short shot to Flair's temple. Flair knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Roy on the ground. Roy sitting and controlling from the half guard. Roy not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Roy not landing any meaningful shots this time. Roy sitting and controlling from the half guard. Roy seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Flair trying to hold on to Roy's head to control him but Roy postures up.

Flair scores with the left hand. Roy knows he should have avoided that one. Flair staying out of range there. Roy gets off balance looking for a body kick and Flair counters with a good, hard body kick but Roy shrugs it off. Roy lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Roy looks to land a left hand but Flair moved out of range nicely. A looping hook to the body misses from Roy. Flair does a little dance to reset his feet. Ric Flair is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Roy walks into a left hand. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Flair misses with a low kick. Roy bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Flair's head backwards. The fight stays on the outside here - Flair looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Flair misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Roy darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Flair tries to clinch there but Roy circles away.
Soham Roy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Roy avoids a kick to the body.
Flair ducks straight into an uppercut from Roy and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Flair manages to regain guard straight away.
Flair is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Roy throwing strikes from guard but Flair blocks nicely. Oh Flair is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Roy loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Flair seems to have got his legs back now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Roy throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Flair works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Flair manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Roy manages to get himself to full guard.
Roy has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Flair controls from within his opponent's guard. Roy controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Roy looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Flair trying to control but Roy is working from the bottom.
We're going to have a standup here because Ric Flair wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Roy lands with a cross. Roy avoids a kick to the body.
Roy has a takedown stuffed. A slapping body kick lands there for Roy. Roy avoids a kick to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Flair lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Roy has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Roy and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Roy throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Flair sees it coming and avoids it easily. Roy ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Flair moves away. Roy throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Flair. Roy avoids the body shot from Flair.
Flair lets loose with a powerful body kick. Roy will feel that in the morning. Flair stuffs the takedown attempt from Roy. Roy gets slowly back to his feet. Soham Roy seems to be getting the better of the standup. Roy throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ric Flair is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! A chopping leg kick lands by Roy. Roy blocks a leg kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Soham Roy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Flair moves in looking to clinch but Roy pushes him off. Roy darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Roy is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Flair sees it coming and defends easily. Roy missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Flair is trying to maintain the position but Roy is very close to passing his half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Roy lands a nice short elbow. Flair regains full guard. Nicely done. Roy wants to control from the top but Flair keeps moving. Roy tries to free his leg and advance position but Flair is retaining full guard. Roy is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Roy landing some decent shots from guard. Ric Flair has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Roy seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Flair does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Roy content to control rather than advance. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Roy lands a heavy elbow. Roy loads up with a big shot that hurts Flair! He's pulled Roy in close but Roy has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Flair survive? More strikes from Roy and Flair is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
