Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between AkoSii MangJose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Radoslaw Michalak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michalak comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Nas ft. Puff Daddy - You Can Hate Me Now kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! AkoSii MangJose had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 187.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Radoslaw Michalak has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, AkoSii MangJose! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Radoslaw Michalak! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! MangJose tries to clinch there but Michalak circles away.
Michalak shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in MangJose's guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Michalak avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Michalak sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed MangJose's guard. MangJose wants to control but Michalak is keeping busy and won't allow it. MangJose is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Michalak is keen to just control but MangJose is a slippery customer. MangJose trying to hold on to Michalak's head to control him but Michalak postures up.
Michalak is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
MangJose pushes Michalak off looking to stand but Michalak dives back in and keeps control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. MangJose tries to roll over but Michalak keeps him under control. Michalak is working for a submission of some sort.
That's one minute gone in the round. MangJose preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Michalak prevents MangJose from improving his position. MangJose flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
MangJose is pressing down on Michalak's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. MangJose wants to sweep here but Michalak controlling him for the moment. MangJose punching from the bottom - just letting Michalak know he's still in a fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. MangJose escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Michalak gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Michalak thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Michalak got a little sloppy there for a moment and MangJose has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Michalak has managed to get both his arms back between MangJose's legs - danger averted. There's a bit of a scramble here and now MangJose is on top in guard.
MangJose won't allow Michalak to get back to his feet. Michalak is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. MangJose tries to free his leg and advance position but Michalak is retaining full guard. MangJose trying to control the position from guard on top but Michalak is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Michalak working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. MangJose doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. MangJose manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. MangJose trying to stand up but can't free himself from Michalak's guard. Michalak controlling MangJose's posture. Michalak is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Michalak scrambles and gets back to his feet.
MangJose drives through with a takedown into Michalak's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Michalak keeping moving, preventing MangJose from controlling successfully. Michalak has his feet on MangJose's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Michalak throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around MangJose's waist but MangJose gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Michalak off to one side. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Michalak has a takedown stuffed. MangJose displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Michalak. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that AkoSii MangJose will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Michalak shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says MangJose as he avoids it easily. Michalak showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from MangJose.
MangJose shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. MangJose showed some decent athleticism there. MangJose wants to control but Michalak is keeping him busy. Michalak is looking to improve his position.
MangJose wants to take a breather but Michalak is having none of it. MangJose is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Michalak is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of AkoSii MangJose. Michalak looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? MangJose is fending him off so far but Michalak persists. Nope, MangJose circles away and we're back to standing. Michalak is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in MangJose's half guard. Michalak prevents MangJose from improving his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. MangJose desperately trying to maintain half guard. MangJose looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Michalak throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. MangJose on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if MangJose tries to get out of the position. MangJose has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Michalak is working away from the top position though. MangJose is looking for a sweep. Michalak is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. MangJose is working hard here to advance position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. MangJose wants to get back to full guard but Michalak has mounted him! MangJose tries to hold on but Michalak pushes him away. Michalak has hold of MangJose's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and MangJose manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Michalak working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Michalak is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. MangJose can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
MangJose is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Michalak goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now MangJose is on top in guard.
Michalak not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
MangJose pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Michalak is keeping the position for now. MangJose stops Michalak from standing up. MangJose wants to get up but he can't break Michalak's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

MangJose stands up over Michalak, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Michalak has a closed guard, preventing MangJose from standing up. MangJose postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. MangJose won't allow Michalak to sweep him here. MangJose wants to control from the top but Michalak keeps moving.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Michalak fails with the takedown and MangJose counters with a single leg into guard. Michalak didn't expect that. AkoSii MangJose has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Radoslaw Michalak. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Michalak manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Radoslaw Michalak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Michalak shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as MangJose sprawls well. MangJose wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Michalak gets slowly back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
AkoSii MangJose dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
The fight stays on the outside here - MangJose looks like he's thinking about clinching though. MangJose fails in his attempt to clinch. A bone on bone clash there as Michalak blocks the leg kick.
Horrible takedown by Michalak or perhaps it was just good defense by MangJose which made him look bad. Michalak dives in and grabs MangJose's left leg, looking for a takedown. MangJose pushes down on Michalak's head and hops out. MangJose bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. MangJose wants to lay and pray for a moment but Michalak keeps working. MangJose scoring with punches and elbows. MangJose prevents Michalak from escaping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. MangJose looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. MangJose tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Both fighters are breathing heavily. You can see the frustration on Michalak's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. MangJose wants to control but Michalak is keeping him busy. MangJose cracks Michalak with a big elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. MangJose tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Michalak throws MangJose to one side and escapes! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Michalak. AkoSii MangJose has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Radoslaw Michalak. MangJose closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. MangJose is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
MangJose is nestled in close to Michalak, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Radoslaw Michalak has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Still in half guard, MangJose seems content to control. MangJose seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Michalak does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

MangJose loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. MangJose is looking to pass into half guard but Michalak pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Michalak is in guard. Michalak thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. MangJose looking to hit a scissor sweep but Michalak is one step ahead there. Michalak postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Michalak trying to control but MangJose is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Michalak won't allow MangJose to sweep him here. MangJose is wriggling around but Michalak manages to pass to half guard.

AkoSii MangJose overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Michalak throwing shots but MangJose is blocking nicely. AkoSii MangJose is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. MangJose on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
And that's the end of the fight! AkoSii MangJose showed his dominance in that final round. Well MangJose has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
