Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sean Coleman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vlad The Impaler! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The Impaler lands a glancing blow to the side of Coleman's head. The Impaler thows a body shot but no joy. The Impaler loads up on a big right hand but Coleman slips the punch. The Impaler showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Coleman.
Coleman feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Coleman distracts The Impaler with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. The Impaler utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Coleman trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Coleman is looking to stand up but The Impaler won't let him. Coleman won't allow The Impaler to sweep him here. Coleman wants to stand but The Impaler has a closed guard, so he can't escape. This has been an exciting period of action! The Impaler working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Coleman.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coleman chips away with some ground and pound. The Impaler avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The Impaler working a defensive guard but Coleman passes into half guard.

The Impaler is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Coleman is staying active. The Impaler is looking for a sweep. Coleman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Coleman throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. The Impaler on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Coleman thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Coleman missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Coleman lands with a punch from half guard. Coleman with the ground and pound but The Impaler uses the opportunity to regain guard. Coleman won't allow The Impaler to sweep him here. Coleman throws a strike but The Impaler rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Coleman pushes The Impaler off and gets back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Coleman closes the distance and clinches up with The Impaler, looking for a takedown. Coleman pushes The Impaler against the cage but The Impaler circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. The Impaler connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Coleman momentarily.
Coleman fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Sean Coleman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A jab from The Impaler misses. The Impaler dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Coleman moves away from the strike by The Impaler. Some wild striking there from Coleman.
The Impaler throws a jab when Coleman was well out of range. The Impaler misses the shot to the body. Coleman tries to clinch but The Impaler moves out of range. Coleman will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The Impaler takes a swing at Coleman's ribcage but misses. The Impaler looks to land a left hand but Coleman moved out of range nicely. Coleman shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts The Impaler as he jumps to the side. The Impaler fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Coleman is breathing heavily. The Impaler throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Coleman fails in his attempt to clinch. The Impaler scores with a body shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! A jab from The Impaler misses. Coleman is looking to clinch. Coleman tries to close the distance and clinch but The Impaler swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Coleman moves away from the strike by The Impaler. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sean Coleman dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Coleman darts in trying to clinch The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. and The Impaler counters with a lovely straight right hand! Coleman on the wrong end of a nice jab. Coleman throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. The Impaler tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Coleman is in The Impaler's guard. Sean Coleman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Coleman lands a couple of decent looking shots. The Impaler looking for a sweep. Not yet The Impaler, not yet. The Impaler not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Coleman trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The Impaler is trying to control the position but Coleman postures up. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Coleman throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as The Impaler works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The Impaler looking to hit a scissor sweep but Coleman is one step ahead there. Coleman wants to stand but The Impaler has a closed guard, so he can't escape. The Impaler wants to sweep but no luck.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Coleman throws a right and a left that both miss. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Coleman looks for a takedown but The Impaler sprawls well. Coleman moves out of range as The Impaler strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sean Coleman dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
The Impaler stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and The Impaler wants it to stay on the feet. The Impaler fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Coleman manages to avoid it. Coleman feints and as The Impaler raises his hands in defense, Coleman changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The Impaler avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The Impaler manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Coleman manages to get himself to full guard.
Coleman wants to get back to his feet but The Impaler is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The Impaler controls from within his opponent's guard. The Impaler trying to control but Coleman is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Vlad The Impaler has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Coleman ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. A jab from The Impaler misses. The Impaler fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Coleman looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. The Impaler ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Coleman moves away. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Coleman, as that shot connected.
Coleman is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Coleman fails in his attempt to clinch. Vlad The Impaler seems to be getting the better of the standup. The Impaler lands an overhand right. Coleman forces The Impaler back against the cage and clinches. The Impaler trying to control the position but instead, Coleman has worked for underhooks and has pushed The Impaler into the cage. The Impaler is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Coleman is defending well. Coleman softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
The Impaler is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The Impaler struggles to land a body shot inside as Coleman controls his hands.
The Impaler is still on wobbly legs! Can Coleman finish him? A nice right hand lands inside from Coleman. Coleman drops down looking for an ankle pick but The Impaler pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Coleman gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. The Impaler trying to stall but Coleman improves his position.
The Impaler seems to have recovered his senses. Coleman lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Coleman turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Coleman manages to end up in side control. Coleman working away. The Impaler is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Coleman off and has taken his back! Coleman wants to get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The Impaler trying to control momentarily.
The Impaler takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The Impaler controlling well, preventing Coleman from escaping the position.
The Impaler wants to control but Coleman manages to buck him off and is now in The Impaler's guard! Nice work there by Coleman! The Impaler avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Coleman throws an elbow that misses. The Impaler uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Coleman's guard. Nice move by The Impaler! Sean Coleman is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The Impaler is stalling in the full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The Impaler trying to control but Coleman is working from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Sean Coleman showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Coleman, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
